Rob Natiuk "You know," I said to myself, "this method could work for a non-artist like me! I'm going to try it." After all, the author promises me "This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to learn how to sketch people."
The method is using photo references to begin with, then framing and grids -- this helps to focus on small units at a time. And focus is what an artist needs to develop most of all.
Mateus I wouldn't say that I'm a master artist or anything after reading this book, but I think it brings a lot of value. I have to draw up a few posters for my business and they asked me to include some sketches of people. I was a tad overwhelmed to say the least. This book has some great techniques and ideas for drawing people specifically. I'm happy with what i was able to come out with and do.
Otto V I especially enjoyed the chapter on learning how to draw the eyes. One of the most important features on a face, and to me the most difficult. However I learned some very useful techniques that increase my confidence tremendously with drawing a face. I really recommend this book for those who enjoy drawing people.

How to Draw People Drawing For Beginners The Easy Guide to Sketching People Drawing for beginners How to draw Book 1 eBook Edgar Ford
Frankly speaking, I am not so good at drawing people. But I am willing to develop the skills needed for a good drawing so that I got this book to educate myself. And this book has never disappointed me as I have learned many great things so far. First, this book changed my wrong mindset. Although I had got this book so as to develop good drawing skills, I hadn't fully got rid of a doubt that only talented people can do a good drawing. But this book elaborates on the fact that the person who is not an expert in drawing can do a good job as long as the person is eager to learn the skills used in this book. Now I am confident in myself and ready to take each step needed for a good drawing. Second, the drawing tips in this book is very straight to the point and helpful. The author does care about a beginner like me so the every technique in this book is explained in a step by step manner and easy to understand. You might not be familiar with using photos or some advanced techniques but don't worry. This book is going to teach you everything and you won't be overwhelmed. Now I finished reading it and couldn't help grabbing a pencil and working on my own project. The only flaw is that it would be better if this book had sample drawing pictures to help your understanding, but I still find it useful and highly recommend you to get this book.Product details

How to Draw People Drawing For Beginners The Easy Guide to Sketching People Drawing for beginners How to draw Book 1 eBook Edgar Ford Reviews
This book helped me figure out the #1 thing I have been missing eye level. This 100% changed how I draw and now my sketches look more involved and dynamic. I was wondering why they have been looking flat!
I have doodled for years but have recently get the goal to get better at sketching people and this book was very helpful. I taught me some simple but useful technicians on how to hold the pencil for different effects, how to use smudging and how to blend colors. I found the section on framing and griding on setting up a drawing which is something I have struggled with. Solid book for beginners.
I've been drawing for a few years now, and I feel like I'm getting a little better over time. People have always been hard to draw for me, its just not an easy skill to pick up! After reading this book, I feel like I have a little better grasp on the process and know I need to put in the work and practice to get better, when putting in the work and having help with guides like this I know there is no way I cant get better.
This book is thin, hardly any pictures and just a major disappointment. The only good thing was that I was able to return it.
By buying two books at $2.99 each instead of the "deal" of $ .99 I was able to piece together 2 lessons of which several parts are missing, I was able to solve part of the puzzle. If you are content with several misdirections, numerous confusing typos, and a few chapters thrown together, you may be able to glean some type of message. I was not amused by nor the author.
I should have listened to the other person who gave it 1 star. As soon as I received the book I knew it was not what I wanted. I wanted to be able to see different ways to draw eyes, noses, ears, and lips. This book did not have any of it.

We begin with the drawing tools we'll need. I appreciate that the author keeps this list simple and cheap, even down to the erasers we'll need. What will you need? Only -- a ruler, a black Sharpie, a piece of card stock paper, scissors, sticky tack. Then just follow the directions in this book -- they are well explained, I'm sure, but I would've liked some illustrations. I'm sure I'll understand the instructions more clearly as I work with them. I also wanted to know if the author is an artist himself and tested his own instructions. Or is he just putting together a book through research and no personal experience in the field. Even if that is true, then he's done a fairly good job.
